Card (Thank you) - U r too kind

A Taiwan aunty was so nice to plan my Taiwan itinerary for me that I decided to make her a simple thank you card. She likes blue, white and orange, so I made the card based on those colours. Buttons used for the letter 'O' just makes the card look cuter.

Card (Valentines and Birthday) - Words

Below are a few word cards which I made last year. Word cards are simply awesome just because you can make the card using any word, just as long as it is not too long. The 'LOVE' cards were made for valentines day and the last picture is for my friend's birthday. The good thing about this card is that is could be a small scrapbook as well, I especially like words like 'LOVE' because you can modify the 'O' and then put a photo in the next piece of paper and it's like you get the submarine effect of looking through the hole.

Which do you like best?

Card (Birthday) - Vintage using graphic 45 paper

This birthday card was made for my lovely sis, I remembered we went for a flower making class together and she told me she like the vintage card. So, for her birthday, I made a vintage looking card, the only colour combination in this card is black, gold, white and brown. I used one of the Graphic 45 bird song paper which have that very Asian feel to it. I have black crepe paper, so I wanted to make rozette crepe flower in this card and that is where is started off with. My card inspiration from another blog which link is at the bottom of this post.

Front
Pattern paper - Graphic 45 bird song
Butterfly - Ek Success butterfly layering punch, the gold paper for the was abit too thin, I glue both sides of the paper together.
Pearl embellishment - Dull gold colour
Flowers - Black with gold pen drawn on the edges
Picture - Modifies in Picasa using Sepia and other effects to have the goldish effect

Close up on the flowers

Inside of card
Sizzix diecut to cut out the flip frame
Words - Gold sticker and happy birthday stamp using metallic gold ink pad (Crystal)
Flower - White flower ribbon dabbed in a mix of metallic gold ink pad and vintage ink pad (Tim Holtz)

My card inspiration is from Alex Hughes blog

Card (Birthday) - Sweet 30?

My friend turn 30 this year, so I thought why not make her a card and surprise her. It is always sweet 16, so why not sweet 30, I had sweet stickers so I stuck it round the peek-a-boo view, in which you can see a lovely girl which represents her. I wanted to doing something different initially but it was too much work, so I went with simple. On the front of the card I wrote 'You are 30 once in your life. Make the best out of it.'

In the inside of the card, you can see the happy birthday word which I use rubber stamp with versamark watermark stamp pad and pearl EX colour 650 Micropearl, it look abit smudged at the edges. The birthday girl was curious on how I did the birthday card word there, I explain to her and she said it sounds complicated, but it's really a very simple technique, I added a video of the technique below. Simple but looks great. For the girl on the card, I am using my 'Anya Angel' rubber stamp from greeting farm with a bit of changes by removing the hallow and adding bunny ears. I know her nickname is 'lola bunny' but have no idea why.

Scrapbook layout - Life at the Beach

This was a pretty last minute scrapbook layout since I was busy, I promised to make a scrapbook for my friend, so a promise is a promise and I tend to keep it. Although it might not be 'wow', but I actually thought it was simple and nice.

I pick the photo which he was with a sunflower, which I thought it was pretty cute. I haven't seen him for many years, so I remembered him as this guy that like bikini girls, guess I was wrong. When he got the scrapbook layout, he wanted to remove all the bikini girls. He has 2 pitbull dogs now and he loves them to death, so if I ever make a scrapbook, it will be those dogs.

Wedding guestbook - Pink castle

This is my first attempt making a wedding guestbook, it was a success because I am satisfied with the outcome. She told me she wanted a wedding guestbook, so I wanted to make something special rather than just the normal book, so I found the scrapbook like castle and put forward the idea to her. She bought the idea and said she wanted the castle pink, so we gathered some pink and white paper/ foam paper. so the guestbook colours used were mainly pink and white with slight purple here and there.

Front - The bride chose the words 'our journey begins'......

Inside - Those pages which are part of the castle, are made up of photos of the bride and groom.

The page on the left has yet to have a photo attached to it.

Binding - I have the 2 tabs in between the 1st 2 and last 2 pages of the castle sheet, then punch holes on top and bottom. Finally, use a brad from inside to put the tabs together. I looks much neater from what it was initially like where I use 2 rings.

Scrapbook layout - Animal theme

I made this scrapbook layout for my noisy bro's birthday, he is a very outdoor person and so so so into rock climbing, hence the mountain and trees. He had mentioned that he wanted to go glazier hiking in New Zealand, I find rock climbing a very dangerous sport but will support him but always pray for his well-being.
The background is a world map for wishing that he would be able to travel round the world being 'spider pig', meeting lots of friendly wild animal, flaunting his 'sexy' self. Lol.

Felt wedding flower bouquet - Orange

This is my 2nd time making flower bouquet for my good friend's ROM and this time, I got 2 helpers. We did it at my close friend's new house at Setia Alam. This round, I make it bigger since it was a bit small the last time, with a different pattern.

Felt wedding flower bouquet - Pink

My 1st attempt at making a flower bouquet, my lovely friend decided to let me have a shot at it for her ROM. It was a rather small bouquet but she was very happy with it. After, she even took used it for her wedding shoot, this definitely meant a lot to me. She made me even happier when she told me a few people complimented the flower.

Pop-up Card (Birthday) - Cat lover

The receiver of this card is a cat lover, hence you will find a lot of cats on the card. The guy represents him and the shy girl represents me.

 Love the piano ribbon

Had 2 levels of pop-up here, the girl on 1st layer and the peek-a-boo cats on the 2nd.
'Adding colours to your simple life'....love it

Scrapbook layout - House warming present

I gave my good friend her late birthday plus house warming gift after getting the big shot pro and Sizzix Bigz XL Die - House 3D (Pop-up). I realise that I don't really like using the Sizzix dies as they only cut through paper. I extended with a transparent paper so that the punch roles will not get ruin easily. With those 2 holes, she could use any hanger to hang it against the wall.

Scrapbook Album - Butterfly

I haven't been updating my blog, so I'm catching up by putting more pictures and less words. I made this butterfly scrapbook album for my mum's birthday in April 2012.
