Card (Thank you) - U r too kind

A Taiwan aunty was so nice to plan my Taiwan itinerary for me that I decided to make her a simple thank you card. She likes blue, white and orange, so I made the card based on those colours. Buttons used for the letter 'O' just makes the card look cuter.

Card (Valentines and Birthday) - Words

Below are a few word cards which I made last year. Word cards are simply awesome just because you can make the card using any word, just as long as it is not too long. The 'LOVE' cards were made for valentines day and the last picture is for my friend's birthday. The good thing about this card is that is could be a small scrapbook as well, I especially like words like 'LOVE' because you can modify the 'O' and then put a photo in the next piece of paper and it's like you get the submarine effect of looking through the hole.

Which do you like best?

Card (Birthday) - Vintage using graphic 45 paper

This birthday card was made for my lovely sis, I remembered we went for a flower making class together and she told me she like the vintage card. So, for her birthday, I made a vintage looking card, the only colour combination in this card is black, gold, white and brown. I used one of the Graphic 45 bird song paper which have that very Asian feel to it. I have black crepe paper, so I wanted to make rozette crepe flower in this card and that is where is started off with. My card inspiration from another blog which link is at the bottom of this post.

Front
Pattern paper - Graphic 45 bird song
Butterfly - Ek Success butterfly layering punch, the gold paper for the was abit too thin, I glue both sides of the paper together.
Pearl embellishment - Dull gold colour
Flowers - Black with gold pen drawn on the edges
Picture - Modifies in Picasa using Sepia and other effects to have the goldish effect

Inside of card
Sizzix diecut to cut out the flip frame
Words - Gold sticker and happy birthday stamp using metallic gold ink pad (Crystal)
Flower - White flower ribbon dabbed in a mix of metallic gold ink pad and vintage ink pad (Tim Holtz)

Card (Birthday) - Sweet 30?

My friend turn 30 this year, so I thought why not make her a card and surprise her. It is always sweet 16, so why not sweet 30, I had sweet stickers so I stuck it round the peek-a-boo view, in which you can see a lovely girl which represents her. I wanted to doing something different initially but it was too much work, so I went with simple. On the front of the card I wrote 'You are 30 once in your life. Make the best out of it.'

In the inside of the card, you can see the happy birthday word which I use rubber stamp with versamark watermark stamp pad and pearl EX colour 650 Micropearl, it look abit smudged at the edges. The birthday girl was curious on how I did the birthday card word there, I explain to her and she said it sounds complicated, but it's really a very simple technique, I added a video of the technique below. Simple but looks great. For the girl on the card, I am using my 'Anya Angel' rubber stamp from greeting farm with a bit of changes by removing the hallow and adding bunny ears. I know her nickname is 'lola bunny' but have no idea why.

Scrapbook layout - Life at the Beach

This was a pretty last minute scrapbook layout since I was busy, I promised to make a scrapbook for my friend, so a promise is a promise and I tend to keep it. Although it might not be 'wow', but I actually thought it was simple and nice.

I pick the photo which he was with a sunflower, which I thought it was pretty cute. I haven't seen him for many years, so I remembered him as this guy that like bikini girls, guess I was wrong. When he got the scrapbook layout, he wanted to remove all the bikini girls. He has 2 pitbull dogs now and he loves them to death, so if I ever make a scrapbook, it will be those dogs.
